My name is Juliet and I was born and raised in Mauritius, a small island in the Indian Ocean. I moved to Melbourne, Australia about four years ago to study a bachelor’s in industrial design (Honours) at RMIT University. I am now living in Sydney, working as a service designer.
I am a thinker and doer/maker, who is passionate about facilitating change and creating positive experiences using design tools and methodologies. I have worked with various organisations ranging from private to government agencies from different industries (education, mental health, insurance, etc.)
I am on a journey to become an impatient optimist and self-disruption. Always looking for a challenge, a new adventure, and opportunities to contribute to creating meaningful impact in issues that I believe in.
Giving back to communities is one of my core values. Since I was little, I was taught the importance of being grateful, supporting others and giving back. If you are interested to learn more about my thoughts on giving back, click here !
I am currently working as a service designer and low-code developer at The Aquarium as part of the Low-Code Lab Team, building our company products and helping customers create digital experiences. I have also worked at The Customer Experience Company (CEC) , The Common Purpose Collective and MeStudent .
I also give my time to different social initiatives. In 2022, I collaborated with other passionate people and released a short pod-cast series - Voices of Us (VOU) with the aim to share stories of LGBTIQA+ international students. Our team is now looking for other opportunities to continue raising awareness about queer international students welfare. If you are interested to learn more, feel free to send me a message !
When I was in Melbourne, I used to volunteer at Story IS Connection (SIC), a NFP that mobilises international students using storytelling and theatre and VicWISE Inc , an organisation that advocates for international students’ global employability in Australia. I still keep in touch with them and look forward to connect with others in Sydney.

I acknowledge Gadigal of the Eora nation on the lands where I am residing and working. I pay my respects to Elders past, present and emerging and celebrate the diversity of Aboriginal peoples and their ongoing cultures and connections to the lands and waters of NSW.
